In Memory of Donna Whitehead

1917 ~ 2003

RICHFIELD-SALT LAKE CITY- Donna DeLora Patterson Whitehead, 86, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2003 at the home of her daughter in Richfield, Utah.

Donna was born on August 24, 1917 in Salt Lake City to George Scott Patterson and Eliza Melissa Wilson.

Donna grew up in Salt Lake City and Ogden. She married Clifton Whitehead on April 5, 1941, he preceded her in death. They bought a home in Hunter, Utah and lived there all but two years of their married life. They raised three children: Clifton (Joanne) Whitehead, Boston, Massachusetts; Janis (Brent) Thorne, Richfield; Craig (Kathy) Whitehead, Orem; and a special daughter Susan, Boston, Massachusetts.

Donna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She found her greatest joy and happiness in her home and family. She was a member of the D.U.P. and a member of the LDS Church.

She is survived by her three children, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ivy Higdon, Torrence, California.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton; parents; three brothers; three sisters; and three grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the Valley View Funeral Home, 4391 West 4100 South, West Valley City. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 and again on Thursday morning one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Valley View Memorial Park.
